1955 January, Swedish delivery. Very straight and solid. This car is for someone who loves the look and feel of an early oval, yet is not an absolute purist and doesn’t mind the later transmission and engine combo (1200 from ’64). It has an older respray, now peeling in places, but the inside is still original paint. New interior with wool headliner, carpet and vynyl seat covers and side panels. All seats are from a ’59 – the rear seat reshaped to fit the early body. Front beam has adjusters, the rear is also down a notch. Some rust in the door bottoms, some old welding done to the bottom of original heater channels and the spare wheel well, no rust in the original floors. Old collision repair to right rear, hence the r/r fender replaced with later (dimpled snowflake), other fenders believed to be originals. Heart tailights are missing, but otherwise the car is pretty original even the semaphores work. It has been converted to 12 volts and fitted with halogen headlight bulbs, so no stumbling in the dark with this bug! It is a real driver – I just did a 800 Km trip with the family! Brakes have new wheel cylinders, shoes and rear drums. It’s perfect to drive as is, or as basis of a restoration. Comes with the original Swedish registration document from 1955!
